Nefeli’s christening was for BOND a family-like affair thanks to the friendship formed in 2017, when we had organized their magnificent wedding of her parents in Crete. Our collaboration with the couple was therefore truly close and seamless, as we developed a creative union of ideas, preferences and selections for their daughter’s baptism. The outcome was an exceptional christening, just as their wedding had been a few years earlier.

With total unison we agreed to avoid stereotypical baptism decor themes of pastel roses, white and cliche baby elements. Our joint vision was a stylish event with the color palette of a Grecian sunset and inspiration from the child’s name – Nefeli (small cloud). With this creative direction we designed the stationery, candy bar and tasty sweets.

Natural wood furniture elements blended harmoniously with the historic Laas estate’s stone buildings, magnificent gardens, lush orchards, and the owners’ eclectic Greek art collection. The terracotta, white, peach and beige color palette was in total harmony with both the estate and the glorious setting sun at the time of the christening.

Flower arrangements of impressive pampas grass and dried flowers in ecru tones were matched with fresh peach roses for pops of color. For a glowing effect of golden lighting we placed floral creations in white and terracotta vases, with tall candles in golden bowls on the long tables. For a unique art de la table concept, we combined shades of terracotta and rose gold dinner service with brown glasses and white-peach napkins.

The unique aesthetics, stunning natural ambience and overwhelming fun created undeniably an unforgettable celebration for Nefeli and for all those that gathered to celebrate her christening.
