Alexander’s Greek heritage made the Athens Riviera a natural choice for his engagement to his beloved UK born Elizabeth. The setting was suitably historic and epic, the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion, built during 444–440 BC, considered one of the major monuments of Athens’ Golden Age.

The youthful and beautiful couple met in London, where from the very first moment their eyes met in a bustling Athens airport, their connection and union was simply undeniable.  In the most ethereal, romantic and scenic of settings – the Temple of Poseidon, in Cape Sounion, they marked their engagement. On the day of the shoot the BOND team collaborated with UK artists to capture the wild passion of the strong winds and stormy seas crashing against the rocks of the Athens Riviera. The raw and powerful beauty of natures’ force provided the perfect otherworldly scenery, for a dramatic, attention-grabbing and unique engagement.

The couple’s beautiful exchanges were captured in an absolutely romantic setting in a hospitable cove that protected them from the wild elements, just as Alexander protected Elizabeth in his arms during the photoshoot. The couple’s wishes were achieved as they enjoyed an intimate, discrete, and beautiful engagement in an ancient and naturally spectacular setting.

Elizabeth’s off-white, silk long dress with a deep decolte by Greek designer Costarellos was inspired by Greek antiquity and featured a subtle silken lace around the waist and under the decolte. Her ring and Alexander’s cufflinks were designed by Greek designer Imanoglou Jewelry. Alexander selected beige trousers with a crisp white shirt to complement his fiancée in white.

The power of their union and such an important moment in this couple’s life was beautifully immortalized and symbolized by the power of the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, and nature’s power. As they enjoyed sharing their moments, walking barefoot in the sand, hand in hand the breeze and sun caressed Elizabeth’s clothing and long brown hair. This perfect moment, captured on film, felt symbolic of their new life together and all the moments of calm, peace, light and love that lay ahead for the passionate couple.
